Castle Gardens
is a family owned and operated business. We have been in business for over 22
years. When the idea of a garden center began, we operated out of three
display garages located on the corner of US Highway 12 and Route 120 in Volo, IL. Route 120 was later moved one block south
and the old road was named Volo Village Road. From
those three small garages, we have since grown to two locations in Volo and Richmond
with over 25 acres of display area and 80 acres of growing nursery stock. We
are proud to say that several of our original staff are
still with us today and many more have been added. Through the years, it has
always been our goal to constantly improve our business to better serve our
customers.
On out lots you will find
thousands of trees, shrubs and evergreens. In some areas, such as crabapples,
we carry between 15-20 varieties. Along with the wide variety of nursery
stock, we care over 1700 varieties of perennials and ornamental grasses. If
you cannot find what you are looking for, just ask one of our professional
staff to help you.
A few years ago, we decided by
customer request to carry concrete statuary. We offer a wide range of styles
and our customers really seem to enjoy picking just the right one.
As with any professional garden
center, we offer a full service landscaping department. Our services range
from simple plant installation to brick patios and stone retaining walls.
